Cr Milan Milosevic
Milan ‘Wog’ Milosevic has lived in Quilpie for over 30 years. The son of a Yugoslavian immigrant who came to Quilpie in search of a fortune in opals, Milan has made his mark in the district. Milan has been the Manager of Lowes Petroleum in Quilpie for over 30 years and fills in his spare time running the Bulloo River Ice Company and managing 2 bi-weekly rural mail runs.
Milan served 18 months on Council in 2007/2008 due to a by-election and narrowly missed out when contesting the 2008 local government elections.
Milan has five brothers and sisters and a large extended family including nine godchildren. He is known throughout the district for his larrikin nature, his passion for the Quilpie Magpies Rugby League Club and his association with the Toompine district. Milan also has a keen interest in gun control. With his strong connection to the community, Milan wants to contribute something back to the area he calls home.
